Prepaid Group Practice

A form of insurance in which the health care provider is paid a preset amount, in advance, for their services.

Quality Improvement Organization (QIO)

An organization tasked with reviewing the quality of care received by Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. Previously called a Peer Review Organization.
