Quality Improvement Organization (QIO)

An organization tasked with reviewing the quality of care received by Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. Previously called a Peer Review Organization.

Residual Coverage

Insurance that continues to pay a portion of an individual's disability payments if they are able to return to work in a limited capacity.
