Life changes that allow an individual to make changes to their health coverage outside of the standard open enrollment period. Common examples include marriage, divorce, or childbirth.

Redetermination

The process wherein individuals that are currently enrolled in an exchange plan (either state or federal) must re-establish their eligibility on an annual basis.
