Uniform Coverage Summaries

Provision in the Affordable Care Act requiring insurance providers to present uniform summaries of benefits and coverage (SBC), designed to allow consumers to understand and compare their coverage options.

Preferred Provider Organization (PPO)

A form of health insurance in which the enrollee pays a smaller portion of health care costs when they use pre-approved health care providers.
